What is the CoachBook Help Desk?

The Help Desk is a reference tool that answers the most frequently asked questions. If you need to report problems that you are experiencing on this site, please click on the "Contact Us" tab in the top banner menu. As soon as the problem is reported, we will do our best to look into it as soon as possible to get it resolved.

This is a professional social networking site and we have a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful conduct. Please contact us if you discover any inappropriate material or comments.

CoachBook Features

~You can now make your profile "private." When your profile becomes private, only those members on your friends list will be able to view your profile. Find the private option in your settings box, located in the top right corner of your profile page.

~If it's been a while since you've been to the CoachBook website, you may have missed out on the "Latest Activity." You can now follow all of the CoachBook "Latest Activity" on your favorite RSS Feed. Click on the orange RSS button at the bottom of the "Latest Activity" box and copy the URL from the pop-up window and paste it into your RSS Feed!

~ Have a product to sell? Get more exposure for your items by posting it in the CoachBook Store. Click on the "Contact Us" tab to request info on our affiliate program.

There are a lot of great things you can do in the "text box" on your profile page. For example:

*Add text directly to your profile. Check out this tutorial for ways to change the color, size, and font style of your text to make your profile stand out: Tutorial on Changing Text

*If you use the code below for posting a website hyperlink in your profile page text box, when members click on the link, it will open in a new browser window instead of taking them away from your profile:

Remove the *asterisks and insert your website's URL to make the code work properly.

*Post your resumes or any other documents by clicking on the "File Upload" button in your Profile text box.

*Add a photo to the text box by clicking on the "Add an Image" button.

*Add a video to the text box by copying and pasting the embed code from popular video players such as YouTube or Google Videos.

*Add a "Widget." Widgets are applications which can do a variety of things. You can add widgets that allow you to play games or watch ESPN SportsCenter. Go to your favorite search engine and search for "widgets." Please note that some widgets will slow down the loading of your profile page. The sports scoreboard below is an example of a widget!

QUESTION:
How do I keep email from going to my personal email address?

ANSWER:
- Click on "Settings"
- On the left side there are four options click on "Email"
- Uncheck anything that you do not want going to your external email box
- Click on "SAVE" at the bottom of the page

QUESTION:
How do I stop receiving notifications to my personal email box?

ANSWER:
- From your main profile page, look to the right of your screen and click on "Settings".
- Once you click "settings", look to the left and click the "email" tab.
- Unclick whatever notifications you do not want to receive or click "None: I don't want to receive emails from CoachBook"
- Then click "save" to retain your changes

QUESTION:
How do I remove my picture from my profile?

ANSWER:
The only way to delete your photo is by replacing it with a different photo.

How do I change my username or email address?

ANSWER:
- From your main profile page, click "settings" on the right side of the page
- Click on "change" for your email address or username
- Once you have changed your email, click "save" to retain your changes.

QUESTION:
How do I upload a profile picture?

ANSWER:
- From your profile page, go the right hand side of the page and click "settings"
- The 4th option down, click on the "upload a photo" icon
- click on browse
- select the picture that you want to upload
- click done

How do I keep others from viewing my profile?

How do I change the way my profile looks?

ANSWER:
-You can change the default background of your profile page by clicking on "Change My Theme" underneath your profile photo.

How do I add a clickable link in my profile page text box?

ANSWER:
-Type the name of your website.....for example-- "My Website"
Using your cursor, highlight the name of your site then click on the link button--it looks like a piece of chain. In the box that pops up, enter the URL like this: www.mywebsite.com. Click "OK."
