Pirates down Detroit to secure playoff spot

SIMMS, Texas—Colby McCullough ran for 273 yards and four touchdowns Friday night as James Bowie secured the third playoff spot in District 17-A by outscoring Detroit, 66-36.

The Pirates improved to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in district, while Detroit’s season ends at 2-8 and 2-3, respectively.

Win and In

We are picked by 30 at home tomorrow night in a MUST WIN situation. Win and we are in. Last time we were picked by 30 at home this year, we blew a 12 point halftime lead. Homefield Advantage hasn't been as sweet this year.

We are currently 5-4, 3-2 in district...We have lost 3 games by a combined 10 points (6,3,1)...2 District losses by a combined 7 points...Literally 3 plays away from being 8-1 and undefeated district champs!! We have lost 3 2-way starters for the year... OL/DL with a torn ACL… Continue
