Yes I would love to be a student asst here, I am just not sure about how to go about it. DO I just go to the football department and ask? Do most schools have undergrad student assistants?

Have you thought about being a student asst. while at OU? Or volunteering at a local high school.....I did both when I went to Ohio State......

Bill, thank you for the welcome. I am currently attending the University of Oklahoma, and I am wanting to get into coaching football after my time here. I am currently a Sophmore, going for a degree in Science Education. Would really like to talk to people and figure out how to get on the right track for coaching football. Thanks for the help.

Hi Bill
Thanks for the welcome!
Netball is played predominantly in Commonwealth countries with competition dominated by Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Jamaica (Canada has a world ranked team about 20th and the USA's team is currently ranked).
It was adapted from Basketball in the late 1800's and now is nothing like it's counterpart. There is no dribbling (players stop as soon as they receive the ball), players are restricted to zones so cannot run the full lengthon the court (making it a truly team game) and there is no backboard! There is many other rule differences too.
As a netball coach that makes my strengths in training speed and acceleration, agility, power and speed endurance.
You should Google it! With more Americans onboard your team might be some competition :P

Thanks for the welcome, Bill. I am excited to be here. I've recently joined the SportsLeeg.com team as their Community Manager, so part of my job includes getting out there and learning from coaches about the issues they face when managing their team. We are working to build an application that simplifies the process of tracking stats, scheduling games, and communicating with players.

I look forward to becoming part of the CoachBook community and thank you again for the warm welcome!

Hey Coach, I am doing fine. Just in the stress of finding out whether I have been accepted or not to the colleges I would like to attend. Learning a lot more of the tripple option, flexbone. How about yourself? Baseball season soon right?

Thanks....we had another solid season in south GA, going 8-4, winning the region for the second year in a row and losing in the 2nd round. We will return 16 starters next year, including the Region Offensive & Defensive Players of the Year (QB and NG). Unfortunatley for me, it looks like the wife's job may be relocating us to the Charlotte, NC area, so I may miss the Championship run. If you know anybody in that area, I may need a job. Thanks!

We had a great season, 8-2 Regular Season and Super Bowl Appearance... Lost 12-0 in the big game, but not to make excuses, but we had a couple of key injuries to our OL... Very Proud of the boys as we were down to 17 in the playoffs... Fun Season, looking forward to 2010!
