Facing my old team. Advice needed!!

I was offered a JV Head Coach position with a local high school, we will play against the team I am leaving in week 5. I have a tight bond with majority of the players and there parents. Some will still be on the JV squad while some will move on to the Varsity level. The JV Head Coach will be my former head coach from the previous season. Now we will be across the field from each other going at it.

How much display of affection is sufficient with my former players during postgame handshakes?

I can only give you my experience in the interview process, but I would imagine that, in addition to "x and o" and drill type questions, you should be prepared to discuss an ability and willingness to recruit. Even at the JC level, recruiting is a big part of the job--I'm learning that one on the fly! LOL. Give me a call if you want to talk more about it (626-290-6218).
